Are you up for some sweet summer tangy treats? Most folks aren't aware of the many possibilities of good balsamic vinegar and extra virgin or infused Texas olive oil. The opportunities are truly endless. Here are some ideas to start you off.

Strawberry Popsicles

For a cool and refreshing dessert, try the delicious strawberry popsicles with balsamic vinegar and some olive oil. Balsamic vinegar and strawberries are a great pairing. The three ingredients come together to deliver a tantalizing, flavorful treat for your taste buds.

All you need to do is chop your strawberries and let them marinate in balsamic simple syrup (substitute Strawberry Balsamic Vinegar) Place the mixture in a blender or food processor, add some water and pulse to make a purée. You can then pour into your favorite popsicle molds and place them in the freezer for a couple of hours. Voila! And there you have your refreshingly tangy strawberry popsicles.

Balsamic Vinegar and Olive Oil on Ice Cream/Cake

Balsamic vinegar also serves as a fantastic ice cream topping. Just scoop your favorite vanilla ice cream into a bowl and add your favorite fruit balsamic. Our favorites are Blackberry, Fig, Peach & Sweet Lime. Drizzle balsamic vinegar all over the mix for a delicious summer treat you'll love.

Honey and balsamic vinegar also work perfectly when drizzled over cakes and pastries. Just make sure you replace butter with olive oil when making your baked treats to make them extra moist, tender, and rich. We love baking with our Lemon Infused Olive Oil for added flavor.

Balsamic Vinaigrette

We especially love balsamic vinegar on a salad with fresh Texas olive oil. The formula to make a salad vinaigrette is just so simple, you barely even need a recipe. It's as easy as combining three to four parts olive oil and one part vinegar. Oil and balsamic vinegar basically serve as the base of the vinaigrette but to make the salad dressing even more appetizing, add some salt, fresh-cracked black pepper and give the mixture a good shake.

Balsamic vinegar adds the right amount of sweetness when tossed with salad greens or cocktails. You can add some fresh chopped herbs or some minced shallots for an even fancier vibe.

Embrace your home cooking with these easy fixes. Let our team help you find the perfect olive oil and balsamic vinegar for your delectable treats. Enjoy!
