Spanish Sangria with Persian Lime Balsamic

Spanish Sangria with Persian Lime Balsamic - Texas Hill Country Olive Co.

Not to brag, but we think we've come up with the best sangria recipe. Seriously - we did! What makes this sangria so special, you ask? We added 1/2 a cup of our Persian Lime Balsamic Vinegar.

The combination of that, citrus, some booze, and ZERO additional sugar, yields a not-too-sweet sangria that is perfect all year round.

Besides being delicious, it's absolutely stunning. That beautiful deep purple color mixed with different sized citrus rounds is a pleasure to drink, and we highly recommend it for any party. We plan on bringing a pitcher of this to all our friend's Galentine's Day parties (and perhaps Valentine's dinner as well).

Ingredients:

  • 1 bottle of a dry Spanish red wine
  • 1/2 cup white rum
  • 1/2 cup Persian Lime Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1 cup orange juice, fresh squeezed (3-4 large oranges)
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1 lime, sliced
  • 1 lemon, sliced

How to Make: A Step by Step Guide

Step 1: Make Orange Juice

Juice your oranges with either a manual or electric citrus juicer. 3-4 large oranges should yield 1 cup of juice.

Step 2: Cut Your Citrus

Slice your citrus into rounds (aesthetically nicer than wedges).

Step 3: Mix and Serve

Add all of your ingredients to a pitcher with ice. Pour into glasses and serve!

Time to Enjoy!

This sangria is the perfect drink all year round! Serve over ice in the warmer months, and heat up to make a variation of a mulled wine when it's cool out (maybe throw some cinnamon sticks in!).

Besides this delicious sangria, our Persian Lime Balsamic Vinegar is amazing in a host of other dishes! Try it with our Balsamic Coulis that pairs with our Spicy Garlic Shrimp, or as a vinaigrette ingredient in a Mexican inspired salad.
