Gourmet Store Manager (2) - Openings in Dripping Springs & Downtown Austin, TX.

We grow, produce and sell our own award-winning olive oils and vinegars under the Texas Hill Country Olive Company brand throughout Texas from our Dripping Springs, Texas orchard, store and manufacturing facility.

We are looking for 2 highly dynamic, sales-driven Store Managers for our strategic Flagship store based in Dripping Springs, TX and soon-to-open Destination Marketplace – St. Elmo’s off Congress in downtown Austin.


As a store Manager, you will:

  • Lead a team with your professionalism, passion and leadership
  • Manage overall team performance and growth
  • Oversee all aspects of store operations
  • Track, analyze, and act to improve store performance at all levels
  • Build and develop a loyal customer base in order to achieve store goals
  • Act as a brand ambassador implementing commercial and marketing plans

Team Management

  • Interview, hire top quality store employees, train, develop and coach store team (4+ people) for high performing growth
  • Manage performance review for all employees
  • Focus on exceptional customer satisfaction and needs, and hold employees accountable to provide the same superior service through best practices
  • Oversee and optimize store schedules
  • Ensure team members adhere to company and location policies, procedures, and guidelines. Respect municipal, state and federal laws
  • Foster positive work environment, team spirit and lead by example
  • Explain and execute the marketing and merchandising plans, share selling techniques and knowledge

Commercial Marketing

  • Implement corporate marketing and commercial plans in store
  • Manage and oversee in store tastings
  • Ensure the store products meet or exceed quality standards and are merchandised according to brand standards
  • Act as an enthusiastic brand ambassador and handle customer complaints
  • Participate in the commercial activities of the area
  • Build local network, initiate partnerships and execute events to build the brand

Management of Gourmet Store

  • Achieve and exceed revenue and profit goals while maintaining expense controls and increasing sales. Review store P&L with the Management to identify efficiencies
  • Plan and analyze sales. Evaluate store’s performance and KPIs daily, weekly and monthly
  • Oversee and follow all operational procedures
  • Oversee store merchandising, placing / receiving orders, waste and returns
  • Manage weekly and monthly inventories. Control stocks and items shelf life
  • Place orders according to the seasonal needs, stocks and sales
  • Oversee, control and monitor handling of cash, registers, POS transactions according to the current processes
  • Oversee and execute all the necessary reporting and admin duties: Invoices, Payroll, Inventory, etc.
  • Ensure that all hygiene and safety practices adhere to current legislation and company standards
  • Act as a key liaison between the store and the corporate team
  • In addition, other duties, tasks, projects as per business need

Working time: Full Time


  • 3/5 years of management experience in a food/grocery or retail operation
  • Ability to work with performance metrics, product specifications and computer systems

  • Must be able to meet physical demands of the position including standing for extended periods of time, bending, pulling, pushing, carrying up to 40 pounds, etc.
