Part-Time Tour Guide & Retail Sales
We produce and sell award-winning olive oils and balsamic vinegars right here on our Dripping Springs orchard. We're looking for a warm, outgoing storyteller to lead our guided tastings and help guests in the shop find something to take home.
As a Tour Guide, you're the face of the Olive Co. You'll lead our one-hour guided tasting, sharing the Gambini family story, the history of olive oil, its health benefits, and how we take olives from tree to bottle. Between tastings, you'll work the tasting room and gourmet shop, turning great conversations into sales and Club memberships. You'll also help with private tastings and Orchard events as needed.
What You'll Do
- Welcome every guest. Be the first greeting in the store and tasting room. Answer questions with knowledge and warmth, and serve samples to individuals and groups.
- Lead guided tastings. Deliver an engaging, educational experience covering olive oil history, health benefits, our orchard, and our production process.
- Drive sales. Recommend and sell our olive oils, balsamic vinegars, bath & body products, and gourmet gifts. Help the team hit its sales goals.
- Grow the Club. Introduce guests to our quarterly Olive Oil Club membership, sign up new members, and handle Club questions.
- Keep it beautiful. Maintain a clean, organized tasting bar, shop, outdoor patio, and surrounding areas that reflect the quality of our brand.
- Pitch in on events. Support private tastings, Orchard events, and other tasks as assigned by management.
What We're Looking For
- Availability on weekends. Tastings run Tuesday–Sunday between 11am and 3pm.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous retail and customer service experience. Hospitality or sales background is a plus.
- A genuine love of cooking and an interest in olive oil and its history.
- Confident, friendly communicator who's comfortable speaking to groups.
- A natural knack for making guests feel taken care of.
Perks
- Generous employee discount on our oils, vinegars, and gourmet products.
- Hands-on training in olive oil tasting, production, and pairing.
- A beautiful Hill Country workplace surrounded by olive trees and a passionate, family-owned team.
