7. Cookies and tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies (pixels, tags, local storage) to:

  • Keep your cart and login working ("strictly necessary")
  • Remember your preferences
  • Measure how the site performs
  • Show you relevant ads on other sites you visit

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the site (like your shopping cart). You can also opt out of interest-based advertising at:

  • Digital Advertising Alliance: optout.aboutads.info
  • Network Advertising Initiative: optout.networkadvertising.org
  • Your Meta ad preferences: facebook.com/adpreferences

8. Your privacy rights

Regardless of where you live, you can contact us to:

  • Access the personal information we have about you
  • Correct information that's inaccurate
  • Delete your personal information (subject to legal requirements that may require us to retain certain records, like order history for tax purposes)
  • Opt out of marketing emails and texts at any time
  • Withdraw consent you've previously given

Depending on your state or country of residence, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws (such as the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act or Canada's PIPEDA). We'll honor any rights the law gives you.

How to exercise your rights

Email customersuccess@texashillcountryoliveco.com with the subject "Privacy Request" and tell us:

  1. What you want to do (access, delete, opt out, etc.)
  2. The email address or phone number associated with your account or orders

We'll verify your identity (usually by confirming order details or sending a verification email) and respond within a reasonable time, typically within 45 days. We won't charge you for exercising your rights, and we won't treat you differently for using them.

If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our response.

Authorized agents

You can authorize someone to make a privacy request on your behalf. We'll need written proof that you've authorized them, and we may still need to verify your identity directly.

9. Marketing emails and texts

Email: When you sign up for our list, place an order, or check a marketing opt-in box, we'll send you marketing emails. Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. You can also email us to be removed.

Text messages: If you opt in to text marketing (separate from email consent), we'll send you texts about new products, sales, and events. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Opting out of texts won't affect your email subscription or your ability to receive transactional messages about your orders.
